Roads of Serbia Looking to Examine Priorities of Construction and Reconstruction of Network of State Roads for Next 12 Years – Financing Models Also Need to Be Analyzed

The PE Roads of Serbia has opened the public invitation for the preparation of the traffic engineering-economic basis for the choosing of the priorities of the construction and reconstruction of the network of state roads in the Republic of Serbia for the 2023-2025 period.

The estimated total value of the procurement is RSD 45,000,000 without the VAT, and the job is planned to be completed within 15 months.

– The aim of the preparation of the study is the selection of the priorities of the construction and reconstruction of the network of state roads of the Republic of Serbia. Through the implementation of adequate models of traffic engineering and economic evaluation, the needs for additional capacities and/or the improvement of the level of services on the network of state roads should be examined. Also, the needs for the improvement of the state of the structures (bridges and tunnels) on the network of state roads, from the aspect of the traffic flow conditions, should be examined. A separate functional unit of the study consists of the question of the financing of state roads. The existing financing model needs to be examined, and models in developed European countries and countries in the former Yugoslav territory need to be analyzed. The result should be a proposal of the financing model for state roads of the Republic of Serbia, considering the expected recession and energy crisis in Europe – emphasizes the project task.
