Ljubovija to Get a Tunnel Through the Proslop Pass – Investment Worth EUR 55 Million

The plan is for the tunnel to be around 2.2 kilometers long, and parallel with its main tube, an evacuation tunnel will be set up at an axis distance of 15 meters.
The structure of the planned tunnels is such that it entails the implementation of the New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM).
– The entire length of the planned traffic route, together with the new sections of the open route, tunnel and the rehabilitated section is around 8.6 kilometers, and the investment is estimated at around EUR 55 million – the info service of the Municipality of Ljubovija says.
The new route would improve the current traffic flow and attract more traffic, and a tunnel through Proslop would shorten the travel time, increase the traffic flow and safety and largely reduce the costs of road maintenance, especially in winter conditions.
